Storing my Milk – Product Review

Who would have thought this would be such a major thing to research but there is so much to learn and know about this.  First of all the milk comes out really yellow at first.  Its like frikkin Carnation Milk!!!! No wonder they grow so quick.  Just like regular milk, it does have an expiry date.

You get bottles with the pumping machine that you can store the milk in.  I tried this but found that it went off real quick.  Just call me vinegar tits lol!

I found that storing the milk in bags was the easiest way and it kept real well.  The brand of bag that I have been using is the Lansinoh Breast Milk Storage bags.  Click here for the website.  They have clear instructions, They are double sip locked so they should never leak.  The best thing is they are thin but strong.  I can simply grab one from the fridge or freezer.  Run warm or hot water over it and it will be nice and warm in no time.

I write the date on the bag, again so that I can track down what I ate in my food diary and also see when it expires.  The bags can stay in the fridge up to 8 days.  It will last 2 weeks in the Freezer compartment of the fridge.  If you have a deep freeze it will store up to 6 months!
